| Protein modifications and regulated protein degradation
are common cellular activities. Their important roles exemplified in cell cycle
progression, transcriptional regulation, DNA repair and protein quality control.
It is therefore not surprising that aberrations in these processes have been implicated
in change of plant development, signaling, plant environment interaction and host
pathogen interaction. As the sixth International Conference on the Frontiers
of Plant Biology, the meeting will focus on
protein modifications in plant development and plant signaling. The main
topics of the meeting will include ubiquitination/sumolation, protein phosphorylation/dephosphorylation,
histone modification/chromatin remodeling and innovative methodology in protein
investigation. This meeting intends to serve as an important platform for discussion
and idea exchanges among China's current and future investigators and for their
interaction with some invited leading experts in the representative areas. The
meeting will be held in the most exclusive Lijiang, southwest of China, the unique
ancient town with breathtaking and peaceful scenery. | |
